I like how you can organize contacts into groups instead of clicking every contact individually. It helps us reach the target audience. Using our office number for the app helps clients verify the legitimacy of the message as opposed to spam text.

What do you like best about MessageDesk?

Bouncing around and getting a lot done quickly is super easy and intuitive. It gets the job done better than the dozen or so other solutions I've tested. Not a lot of hoops to jump through to get started. Great trial flexibility to really dig in without committing. Most others are fairly limited.

I am constantly surprised by how easy, helpful and useful MessageDesk is. Writing and scheduling broadcasts is quick, clear, and offers multiple ways to include or exclude contacts. The shared inbox my team uses keeps messaging organized and our customers happy we don't miss any messages. Adding contacts with either tons of info or very little is great. All around very please with this product and the support offered.

Frequently asked questions

Every 160 characters count as 1 credit. A message with 320 characters would count as 2 credits. Example: A message 320 characters long sent to 10 contacts would cost 20 credits. Every SMS message is limited to a max of 918 characters. Messages longer than 918 characters automatically convert to MMS. MMS messages count as 3 credits.

Adding emojis and special characters to a message will automatically convert it to an MMS message (costing 3 credits per message). Emojies and special characters add extra data to every message sent, hence the additional per-credit cost.

Currently, MessageDesk is only available in the United States and Canada. However, we’re looking at offering service in several new markets including India and Australia. If you’re interested in using MessageDesk in your region, let us know, we’d love to hear from you!

No, unused free messages do not roll over into the next month. However, if you have an annual plan your messages roll over month to month until the end of your 12 month subscription.

Once you use all of your plan's message credits, you’ll automatically go into metered billing. Metered billing allows you to continue sending messages at the per-message rate of $0.05 per message. If you go into metered billing, we recommend that you talk to sales about additional plan savings. *Note: you can upgrade or change your plan's credit allotment at any time.

No, all inbound text messages are free.

Yes, MessageDesk allows you to send and receive images, gifs, videos, and more. You get 1 gigabyte with your account for all media you upload and the maximum upload size is 12 megabytes.

In most cases, yes! Ask a representative on our sales team to see if your existing phone number qualifies for number porting.
